I was gonna call this NEW WAVE DETECTIVES, but decided against it for a couple of reasons. One is a really infamous porn flick that played off that title.
It's 1984 and even folks on the outside of the law have problems that they need help solving. That's where Deb and Susanna some in. Solving problems. Making friends. Getting to the show on time. That sort of thing.
Mystery, street-level crime (and maybe even higher up than that) and humor. Probably the closest I've ever come to writing straight-up comedy, which is a real challenge in comics.
